Terms & Conditions
The rules for using Codeenv's free tools and services
Effective date: August 21, 2026
Welcome to Codeenv! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website located at codeenv.com ("Codeenv", "we", "us", "our") and the free tools, content, and features it provides ("Service"). By accessing or using Codeenv, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Codeenv provides free, browser-accessible web tools for tasks such as image conversion, text processing, SEO checks, and similar utilities, along with related content such as our blog. The Service is provided free of charge and does not require account registration for most tools. We may add, modify, or discontinue any tool or feature at any time without notice.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Codeenv only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Service to process, generate, or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service in a way that overloads or disrupts our servers;
- Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access the Service at a volume that degrades performance for other users, except as permitted by any published API terms;
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or related systems;
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity while using the Service.
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access for anyone who violates these Terms.
3. Your Content
Some tools require you to submit text, files, or other content ("User Content") for processing. You retain all ownership rights to your User Content. By submitting it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the requested tool output; we do not claim ownership of it, and — as described in our Privacy Policy — submitted content is deleted shortly after processing. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to submit any content you upload, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party or violate applicable law.
If you post comments or other content on our blog, you warrant that you have the right to post it, that it does not infringe any third-party rights, and that it is not unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. We do not pre-screen comments but reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms. You grant Codeenv a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display any content you post publicly on the Service.
4. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, Codeenv and its licensors own all intellectual property rights in the website, its design, and the underlying tools and code. You may use the Service for your personal or business purposes, but you may not republish, sell, rent, sub-license, reproduce, duplicate, or redistribute material from Codeenv (excluding your own User Content and the output files generated for you) without our prior written permission.
5. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or rely on third-party APIs to deliver certain results (for example, domain, DNS, or backlink lookups). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site or service. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk and subject to that party's own terms and privacy policy.
6. Advertising
Codeenv may display advertisements served by third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdSense) to help keep our tools free. These networks may use cookies as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results generated by any tool will be complete, accurate, or suitable for your specific purpose. You use the tools and any output at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Codeenv and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Codeenv and its owners and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
11. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service, legal requirements, or business practices. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of Codeenv after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Codeenv's operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence grant you additional rights that cannot be waived.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
14. Privacy
Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information and forms part of these Terms.
